This web page is the combined work of students from Bemidji State University. Our goal is to research, understand and educate others on the Polynesian culture of sexuality in both traditional and modern terms.
Polynesia is a series of island chains located in the Southern Pacific Ocean. The thousands of islands which make up Polynesia have been settled for thousands of years by peoples of similar beliefs. The Polynesian culture itself revolves around the concepts of sustainability. The limited resources of each island are the driving force behind each islands unique cultural adaptation.
Our goal is to understand the culture of Polynesia from a human sexuality view point. We want to know how the Polynesian culture and individual sub-cultures developed.
